I spoke with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Robin Givhan last week for a Washington Post story on Ethan Miller’s initiative The Fabric, in partnership with IMG Models, and how it has helped me connect and feel at home among that broad network of black folks that make this industry pop day after day while connecting with an industry institution like IMG. In this “war of images” we need folks on both sides of the doors of our industry’s hallowed institutions to shape the future of fashion, but also of culture more broadly.
Every day I’m struck by how much of the forward progress I seem to make personally is really the result of efforts by much a broader network of supporters. So glad to count Ethan Miller among them!!
