We are excited to announce that KHIRY founder and Creative Director, Jameel Mohammed, has won the 2021 FSF Accelerator Grant! The program includes both funding and a year of mentorship by the FSF community. On June 17th Jameel, a 2015 & 2018 FSF scholar, and three other FSF alumni presented their nascent business ideas to a panel of FSF judges and industry leaders including Wen Zhou of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Sarah Easley of Maison Marché, Alan Mak of Public School, Stacie Henderson of Tod's Group, Marc Mastronardi of Macy's, and Lana Todorovich of Neiman Marcus.
The vision that Jameel presented was selected to receive this year's grant.
The Fashion Scholarship Fund aims to foster and support America's most promising fashion students by providing over $1 million in scholarships each year and access to career, network, and mentorship opportunities. Established in 1937, the FSF is the oldest fashion development nonprofit in the country.
We are incredibly grateful to the FSF community for their consideration and support in reaching this point.
